Making a Voice Call

When making a voice call with Unite Lite, you have two options: calling a person from your contacts list or calling a person outside your organization.

To call a person from your contacts list, simply click on the contact entry from the CONTACTS page; this will trigger the PROFILE within the CONTACTS page where you should use the call button in order to place the call (check case (1) from picture below). Following this, your extension will ring and only after you pick up the call, the remote party will be called.

To place calls outside your organization, you first need to check with your system administrator if you have the necessary calling permissions.

To call a person outside your organization you need to use the Dialpad menu and dial the desired number from the computer’s keyboard, the digital keyboard shown on the screen or simply copying and pasting the number in the dialing area, and then hit the call button (check case (2) from picture above). What will happen right after is that your extension will ring and only after you pick up the call, the remote party will be called.
