About This Manual 

This is a collection of documents making up a user manual for the administrator of a sipXecs phone system.

It covers software version 14.04 released in April 2014.

 

Intended Audience 

sipXecs is a complex system. We attempt here to give a simple introduction for newcomers, while at the same time covering all major functions and options of the system. 

This manual focuses on the standard functions available out-of-the-box after installing the system. We do not cover customization and how to design special features. You may want to refer to other articles in this wiki if you have this goal. 

 

Prerequisites

We assume that you or some server administrator have already performed the basic installation of the sipXecs software on a server, and configured basic DNS and DHCP settings. For installation procedures please refer to the Quickstart section of this wiki.
